Studio Golondrina is set on the edge of the canyon in the hamlet of Cañada de Benatanduz. At an altitude of over 1400 meters, the village is the highest munincipality in the ancient area known as the Maestrazgo, one of Spain's most isolated and geologically important areas.

The main carving stone is high-quality alabaster, freshly quarried in the lowlands of Aragon. The emphasis is on working by hand, with minimal use of power tools. Accommodation is at the village bar or in a shared house.

All income from the workshops supports Trio Uganda's work in Africa.
